Dr. Silvio Döring, Dr.-Ing. Thorsten Büker, Amelie Wimpffen, Matthias Becker and Bernd Potthoff have published an article entitled „Provisional strategies until the introduction of FRMCS“ in the current issue of SIGNAL+DRAHT (www.eurailpress.de/sd).

In this article, the authors clarify the need to switch from GSM-R to FRMCS and explain the resulting challenges. In order to master these emerging challenges, the authors explain both commercial and technical provisional strategies that can serve for a transition period of the technology change.
