Analysis of higher education in the rail transport sector
Innovation projects relating to rail transport are increasing the need for qualified specialists in Germany.
Attracting and retaining the right professionals for the wide range of occupations in rail operations is perceived as a key challenge, and the development of training opportunities plays an important role in fulfilling these requirements. Technological developments in this sector also requires a reassessment of existing training programs.
An analysis of university education in the rail transport sector commissioned by the DZSF, provides information about the needs and deficits within the university education system. This analysis was initiated by quattron management consulting GmbH in cooperation with eleven renowned universities.
