Dr.-Ing. Albrecht Achilles
- PhD in railway and business administration at the Technical University of Braunschweig. The thesis examines digital migration in the railway sector, using ETCS as a case study.
- His broad technical expertise is based on many years’ experience as a technical consultant for control and signalling technology, working with both operators and manufacturers.
- His core areas of expertise lie in the technologies of the European Train Control System (ETCS), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), Traffic Management System (TMS) and the Signalling Controlled Warning System (SCWS, track condition warning systems) – covering the entire process from design and operational coordination, through specification and integration, to commissioning.
